Please give our new Young Advisors a huge welcome!
Young Advisors are Young People aged between 14 and 21, who show community leaders and decision makers how to engage young people in community life, regeneration and renewal. They are highly trained and qualified to work as Regeneration and Renewal Consultants.
Waltham Forest, in north east London set up a Young Advisor team in October 2007. The team is one of the biggest in the country, having so far trained over 50 young people. You can find out about some of the work the team have done here.
As of February 2012 4 cohorts have been trained and qualfied as Young Advisors.
The Young Advisors are hosted within the community engagement department of Waltham Forest council, but are still a branch of the national Young Advisors Charity.
