Youth Independant Advisory Group

Ever wanted to change how police deal with young people? Ever really felt like you could tell them a thing or two?

This is your chance. The Youth IAG (Independant Advisory Group) is a team of young people who work with the police in Waltham Forest (and across London) to advise and train them on how to handle issues with young people. This year the YIAG started work on Stop and Search training with police from all over London. How do you think police should search young people?

All YIAG members are trained up in Conflict Resolution, and what's more, you'll be trained to train other people - helping them handle conflicts in their own lives.

This position requires a healthily balanced opinion of the police and a real energy for change. If you think you've got what it takes, apply now. While it isn't a paid position, you will have plenty of opportunities for paid work at varying rates.
